Our Story

Fruitlink has established itself as a renowned grocery wholesaler, recognised for its unwavering commitment to delivering superior quality at every stage.

In 1991, Fruitlink was founded by Director Doug Rylance. Later in 1996, we merged with Australian Fruit Brokers, which was established by Managing Director Adam Dilworth in 1993. At the time of our merger, we had a modest customer base of 32, and some of those customers have remained loyal to Fruitlink till this day.

Throughout the years, our organisation has been dedicated to providing high-quality and nutritious fruits and vegetables, accompanied by exceptional customer service and remarkable value. We quickly gained a reputation for helping independent retailers enhance the profitability of their produce departments, and we continue to do so in today’s fiercely competitive market.

Fast forward to 2023, Fruitlink has emerged a preferred supplier for major independent banner groups such as IGA, Foodworks, and SPAR. Along the way, we have received multiple supplier awards, thanks to our commitment to fairness, ethics, and appropriate business practices with both our suppliers and customers. Our team members, some of whom have been with Fruitlink for over two decades, have played a crucial role in our success. And, above all, we consistently deliver products and services of fantastic quality and value.

In 2021, we merged with Suncoast Fresh and relocated to a state-of-the-art warehouse facility, setting a new industry standard. This marked the establishment of Green Endeavour, the parent company of Fruitlink and Suncoast Fresh. Together, we operate within the GE warehouse, a mega produce distribution hub in Rocklea, Brisbane.

State-of-the-art

warehouse facility.

The modern state-of-the art warehouse facility has been built to put the customers first. As a result, Fruitlink can provide better distribution by dispatching efficiently and maintaining the highest integrity of each product, so it arrives at its destination in the best possible condition.

Featuring eight temperature-controlled rooms, including a dedicated freezer and cold rooms, the warehouse significantly enhances the capacity to offer a wide range of superior produce and non-produce items such as Deli, Grocery, and FMCG goods, enabling us to expand our product portfolio.

The 2023 visionary warehouse has been designed with the future in mind, aiming to minimise service disruptions and expedite supply to our customers, particularly during challenging times.

To achieve this, the company has prioritised building above the 2011 and more recent 2022 flood lines, making the state-of-the-art facility the highest point at the Brisbane Markets. The warehouse promotes sustainable practices and is adorned with predominantly eco-friendly and recycled building materials, encompassing wall finishes, cladding, carpets, flooring, timber, roofing, benchtops, paint, and more.

We also harness rainwater for the rooftop garden, benefiting both edible plants and our bathroom facilities. Additionally, we have transitioned to using electric forklifts. Excitingly, these initiatives are merely the inception of our ongoing Green Endeavour.

Furthermore, it complies with the most stringent safety standards, aligning with the company’s unwavering commitment to fostering a high safety culture to safeguard our personnel, customers, and the wider community.
